On October 24, 2024, the main works of the Memve'ele Hydropower Station passed the final acceptance inspection and were successfully handed over.
As of October 24, 2024, the Memve'ele Hydropower Station has been operating safely for 2,017 days, with a total power output of 3.39 billion kWh. This has significantly enhanced the reliability of the southern Cameroon power grid and improved the power supply security of the capital region, Yaoundé, playing a significant role in the social and economic development of Cameroon.
OTEC Engineering provided services ranging from EPC contract negotiation, preliminary design and construction design review, construction technical consulting, to approval of operation and maintenance manuals for the equipment.
