On November 9, 2024, the Rwandan Nyabarongo II hydropower project of STECOL (PowerChina Group) began the construction process of the dam body, marking the commencement of the main construction phase. To ensure the long-term safe operation of the power station, grounding, safety monitoring instruments, and geomembrane waterproofing materials have been installed in the dam body.
OTEC Engineering, consultant of the EPC contractor STECOL, provides technical and commercial consulting support for this project.
